Please note this information is correct at the time of publishing and should be used as a general guide only. You must ensure you check and understand the requirements for pre-departure testing and certification for your airline, transit location and final destination.
The information below is based on the assumption the traveller is fully vaccinated with an approved vaccine. Please note all countries have different vaccination requirements, entry restrictions and requirements for compulsory managed quarantine which are not listed here but generally can be found by clicking the ‘More Info’ links for the relevant country below. TEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: Negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours before direct departure flight to Argentina -does not apply to children under 6 years.
CONNECTING FLIGHTS: The test must be conducted within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time of your last direct flight to Buenos Aires. You may need to schedule the test in your transit city.
TRANSITING: If you are transiting passengers are required to get a Covid-19 PCR Test no more than 3 days before their Connecting flight.

AustriaTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: You need to show a PCR test no older than 72 hours or a Vaccine certificate. Children under 12 do not need to show a test.

IF YOU HAVE RECOVERED FROM COVID-19:You can enter Austria for 180 days after a SARS-CoV-2 infection. Proof of neutralising antibodies is valid for 90 days from the test date.

BangladeshTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: Negative COVID-19 PCR or RT-PCR test taken no more than 72 prior to departing your country of origin for all travellers aged 12 and over.

CanadaTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: Starting April 1, 2022, pre-entry tests will no longer be required for fully vaccinated travellers entering Canada by land, air or water. Until then, follow the pre-entry test requirements. You must still use ArriveCAN before and after April 1.
ChileTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: Negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours before direct departure flight to Chile-does not apply to children under 2 years.
CONNECTING FLIGHTS: The test must be conducted within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time of your last direct flight to Chile. You may need to schedule the test in your transit city.
TRANSITING:If you are transiting through Santiago, all passengers are required to get a Covid-19 PCR Test no more than 3 days before their departure flight

ChinaTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: Travelers must have negative COVID-19 RT-PCR nucleic acid test results and IgM antibody(Nucleic Acid) tests. The tests must be taken a maximum of 48 hours before the scheduled departure time of the flight to mainland China.
CONNECTING FLIGHTS: The test must be conducted within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time of the flight to Mainland China. Due to the different entry and test requirements of the transit countries, it is strongly recommended to choose direct flights to China.
TRANSITING:
OTHER INFO: Vaccinated travelers may receive positive results for their IgM antibody tests. Please verify with your local embassy any additional procedures required for vaccinated travelers. Travelers must apply for a green health code with the "HS" mark or a certified health declaration form from the Chinese consulate in the country of origin before boarding the flight. Alternatively, travelers may get their code online.
FijiTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY:
Negative rapid antigen test (RAT): Travellers 12 years and above will be required to produce a negative RAT test taken no more than 24 hours prior to the commencement of journey of continuous flight(s), if applicable. This applies to all travellers disembarking in Fiji.
OR
Negative PCR: Travellers 12 years and above will be required to produce a negative PCR test taken no more than 2 calendar days prior to the scheduled day of departure. This applies to all travellers disembarking in Fiji.
TRANSITING: If transiting through Fiji, you will still require proof of negative test.
OTHER INFO: All travellers who stay in Fiji will need to stay at a Care Fiji Committed accommodation. Make sure you have documented proof of a confirmed 3-night CFC booking before your flight.
In addition, all eligible travellers will now be required to take an approved Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) after 24 hours of their arrival into Fiji.
FranceTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: If already vaccinated, you shall provide evidence of your vaccination status, a sworn statement certifying the absence of COVID-19 symptoms and of any contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19, as well as results of a virological (PCR) or antigen screening test taken less than 48 hours prior to departure that did not detect any COVID-19 contamination, in order to enter Metropolitan France. Children under 12 years of age are exempt from testing.
OTHER INFO: Depending on your country of origin, you may be subject to screening on arrival, for which you will be requested to facilitate the administrative formalities.
GermanyTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY:No matter where they spent time outside of Germany, all travellers over the age of 12 who are entering Germany are required to present either proof of a negative test result, proof of vaccination or proof of recovery from COVID-19 when requested by the responsible authority or border official when arriving in Germany. People who have spent time in an area of virus variant of concern must always submit a negative COVID-19 test result. Proof of vaccination or proof of recovery is not sufficient.
CONNECTING FLIGHTS:
TRANSITING: A test is not required for Germany but may be for your destination country.

GreeceTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: Travelers arriving in Greece are required to have either a negative PCR certificate from a testing laboratory, for a Covid-19 test taken no later than 72 hours before arrival or a negative antigen (rapid) certificate taken no longer than 48 hours before arrival.
IF YOU HAVE RECOVERED FROM COVID-19: Proof of a negative PCR test is not required if the traveler was tested positive with COVID-19 in the past 30 to 180 days. This can be proved either by presenting a positive PCR molecular or an antigen test result performed by an authorized laboratory or a medical certificate confirming that the holder was tested positive with SARS-CoV-2 virus infection. The certificate is issued 30 days after the day of the first positive COVID-19 test and is valid for 180 days after it.
OTHER INFO: Vaccinated travellers do not need to show test results.
Hong KongTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: A negative COVID-19 PCR test is required within 48 hours before the scheduled time of departure.

IndiaTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: Negative COVID-19 PCR or RT-PCR test taken no more than 72 prior to departing your country of origin for all travellers.
CONNECTING FLIGHTS: The test must be conducted within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time of your first international departure.
TRANSITING:
OTHER INFO: You must pre-register your trip via the Air Suvidha portal including uploading your negative test certificate. Please check the latest information regarding whether you are permitted to travel to India from Australia.
IndonesiaTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: To enter Indonesia you must show evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination completed at least 14 days before travel. Children under 12 are not required to be vaccinated to enter Indonesia. Partially vaccinated 12-17 year-olds may be required to complete vaccinations by local authorities while in quarantine. Check the latest requirements on vaccination for children with your travel provider or an Indonesian Embassy or Consulate before travel. It's recommended Australians seek medical advice on vaccination for children. Travellers with a medical certificate confirming they are not fit to be vaccinated may be exempted.
You must also show evidence of a negative COVID-19 (PCR) test result taken no more than 48 hours before travel.
If you travel to Bali, you'll be required to undergo a further COVID-19 (PCR) test on arrival. You'll also need to self-isolate at your accommodation or home until you receive a negative result. For the rest of Indonesia, you must quarantine for one day in a hotel in your city of arrival. If you've received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, you must quarantine for 7 days. Children can self-isolate or quarantine for the same period as their accompanying parent or carer. If you test positive for COVID-19 on arrival, you may be taken to a hospital for treatment or an isolation hotel at your own expense.
You may be required to take a further COVID-19 (PCR) test on your 3rd day in Indonesia at your own cost. You must then wait for the result of that test while you self-isolate at your accommodation or home. If any of the tests are positive you may be taken to a hospital for treatment or an isolation hotel at your own expense.
Local authorities will require you to install and use the COVID-19 'Peduli Lindungi app' for arrival health clearance.
ItalyTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: Travelers arriving in Italy from Australia are required to have a Negative COVID-19 PCR test no older than 72 hours for all travellers
OTHER INFO:
JapanTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: Negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 prior to departing your country of origin. Children under 6 accompanied by parents with a negative test result do not need to be tested.
CONNECTING FLIGHTS: The test must be conducted within 72 hours of the scheduled departure from your point of origin providing you do not leave the airport between connections. However if you leave the airport or stay in a hotel outside the airport, the starting point to count 72 hours will be the time you leave the transit country so you may need to obtain a test in the transit country.
TRANSITING: Travelers who are not entering Japan and transferring directly to a third country by transit, are not required to submit any documents and undergo inspections in Japan. However if your connecting flight is the following day or you need to transfer between Narita and Haneda Airports then your transit does require entry to Japan so you will be subject to testing requirements.
OTHER INFO: The results certificate must be in a prescribed format and may be presented in Japanese or English. Hard Copy is requested.
New ZealandTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY:
All travellers from Australia, aged 2 years and over, including travellers from Norfolk Island, must provide proof of a negative result from one of the following:
1) supervised rapid antigen test (RAT) — your swab must be taken and your negative test result returned no more than 24 hours before the scheduled departure of your first international flight to New Zealand.
2) PCR test — your swab must be taken and your negative test result returned no more than 48 hours before the scheduled departure of your first international flight to New Zealand.
3) supervised loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) test — your swab must be taken and your negative test result returned no more than 24 hours before the scheduled departure of your first international flight to New Zealand.
Supervised tests must be supervised by a health professional.
CONNECTING FLIGHTS & TRANSITING: You do not need a pre-departure test if you are staying airside (airside means the side of an airport terminal before passport and customs control) while transiting through New Zealand. If clearing customs for a connecting flight you will require a negative test.
Check with your airline for the pre-departure requirements of your destination country.
PhillipinesTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: Negative result of RT-PCR test taken within 48 hours or a negative laboratory based antigen test taken within 24 hours prior to departure.
PortugalTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: Travelers arriving in Portugal by air from Australia are required to have a Negative COVID-19 PCR test no older than 72 hours. Children under 12 do not need to present a test.
OTHER INFO:
QatarTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: All travellers must have a negative COVID-19 (PCR) test conducted with 72 hours before arriving in Qatar.
CONNECTING FLIGHTS: All travellers must have a negative COVID-19 (PCR) test conducted with 72 hours before arriving in Qatar.
TRANSITING: If you are transiting through Doha you are not required to present a negative PCR test unless required by your final destination.
OTHER INFO: Non-residents of Qatar must register via the pre-registration platform on www.ehteraz.gov.qa website and upload all relevant documents such as PCR test result, vaccine certificate and other relevant documents at least 3 days before arrival
SingaporeTEST REQUIRED: All travellers, except those aged 2 and below in the calendar year (i.e. in the year 2021, those who are born in or after 2019), must undergo a COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test or Antigen Rapid Test (ART) within 2 days before departure for Singapore.
For example if the pre-departure test is taken on 1 November 2021, it will be valid for departures up to 3 November 2021, 23:59 hours.
OTHER INFO: All travellers are required to take a COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival in Singapore which costs approximately SGD$125 and can be booked in advance. Subsequent testing may be required.
South AfricaTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: All international travellers arriving at the Ports of Entry who are-
(i) fully vaccinated must upon arrival at the Port of Entry, produce a valid vaccination certificate; and(ii) unvaccinated must upon arrival at the Port of Entry, provide a valid certificate of a negative COVID-19 test, recognised by the World Health Organisation, which was obtained not more than 72 hours before the date of travel.
OTHER INFO:
South KoreaTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: Negative COVID-19 PCR or RT-PCR test certificate issued a maximum of 3 days before 12am on the day of departure. Based on time of certificate issue, not when sample collected. Must be printed (not electronic).
CONNECTING FLIGHTS: The test must be conducted within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time of your first international departure.
TRANSITING: South Korea do not require a test for transiting passengers
OTHER INFO: Most travelers are required to take a COVID-19 test on arrival or a maximum of 3 days after their arrival in South Korea.
SpainTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: Travelers arriving in Spain from Australia are required to have a Negative COVID-19 PCR test no older than 72 hours or present a valid vaccination certificate.
OTHER INFO: Before travelling to Spain (even in transit) you must have the QR code which is obtained from filling in the Health Control Form (FCS in Spanish) available in Spain Travel Health (SpTH).
ThailandTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: Negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to departure flight to Thailand
CONNECTING FLIGHTS: The test must be conducted within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time of your last direct flight to Thailand. You may need to schedule the test in your transit city.
TRANSITING: International passengers can transit via Surnavbahumi Airport, Bangkok. If your travel to Thailand includes a transit in a non-approved country or territory, your transit in Bangkok must not exceed 12 hours and you must not pass immigration control.

TurkeyTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY:
All arrivals into Turkey must complete an online form in the 72 hours prior to travel. You may be required to provide proof of submission to your airline before you board your flight. This isn't required for passengers transiting Turkey without leaving the international transit zone.
Passengers will need to present one of the following:
- evidence of having been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least 14 days prior to arrival
- evidence of having recovered from COVID-19 within the last 6 months (entry into Turkey must be within the six months starting from 28 days after you initially tested positive)
- a negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours of arrival
- a negative rapid antigen test result taken within 48 hours of arrival.
Quarantine requirements do not apply to passengers transiting Turkey without leaving the international transit zone.
For children aged 11 and under, no test or vaccination certificate is needed.
Before travelling, confirm with your airline what documentation you will need to present at check-in.

UAE - DubaiTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY:
Effective 26 February 2022, passengers travelling to Dubai from all countries (GCC included) must fulfil one of the below requirements
- Present a valid vaccination certificate(s) reflecting that the passenger is fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the WHO or the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and includes a QR code.
- Present a valid negative COVID 19 PCR test certificate issued within 48 hours from the time of sample collection and issued by an approved health service provider with a QR code.
- Present a valid medical certificate with a QR code issued by the relevant authorities that the passenger has recovered from COVID 19 within 1 month from the date of recovery to the date of arrival.
If requested, passengers must undergo a PCR test on arrival in Dubai and self quarantine until they receive a negative result. Passengers who test positive for COVID 19 must follow the guidelines issued by the Dubai Health Authority.

TRANSITING: A test is not required if transiting through Dubai from Australia unless it is mandated by the destination country or transit time is more than 10 hours. However if returning to Australia please note a test might be required depending on your country of origin. See link below.
OTHER INFO: You must also download the COVID19 – DXB Smart App when you arrive.
UAE - Abu DhabiTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY: All passengers travelling to Abu Dhabi from any point of origin must hold a negative COVID‑19 RT‑PCR test certificate for a test taken no more than 48 hours before departure

TRANSITING: A test is not required if transiting through Dubai from Australia unless it is mandated by the destination country. However if returning to Australia please note a test might be required depending on your country of origin. See link below.
OTHER INFO: If staying in Abu Dhabi you will also be required to take a test on arrival and on day 6.
United KingdomTEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY:
If you arrive in England after 4am, 11 February, the following rules will apply.
Fully vaccinated – from 11 February
If you qualify as fully vaccinated for travel to England, you:
- will not need to take a COVID-19 test before you travel to England or after you arrive
- will not need to quarantine when you arrive
You will need to complete a passenger locator form before you travel to England.
Check if you can follow the rules for people who are fully vaccinated – includes people aged 17 and under.
Please note that your airline still may require a negative test to board the flight.
Not fully vaccinated – from 11 February
If you do not qualify as fully vaccinated for travel to England, you will need to:
- show proof of a negative COVID-19 test – test to be taken in the 2 days before you travel to England
- book and pay for a COVID-19 PCR test – to be taken after you arrive in England
- complete a passenger locator form before you travel to England
You will need to book the PCR test before you travel.
You will not need to quarantine, unless the result of the PCR test is positive.

USATEST REQUIRED FOR ENTRY:All air passengers 2 years or older with a flight departing to the US from a foreign country at or after 12:01am EST (5:01am GMT) on December 6, 2021, are required show a negative COVID-19 viral test result taken no more than 1 day before travel, or documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the past 90 days, before they board their flight. This includes a medically supervised Rapid Antigen Test.
If you are 2 years or older, you must get tested no more than 1 day before your flight to the US departs. The 1-day period is 1 day before the flight’s departure. The Order uses a 1-day time frame instead of 24 hours to provide more flexibility to the air passenger and aircraft operator. By using a 1-day window, test acceptability does not depend on the time of the flight or the time of day that the test sample was taken. For example, if your flight is at 1pm on a Friday, you could board with a negative test that was taken any time on the prior Thursday.
CONNECTING FLIGHTS OR TRANSITING: Any flight entering the U.S. from a foreign country, even for a connection, will require testing before departure.
OTHER INFO: A PCR test is a type of NAAT test.
